MAGDALEN + ANCIENT ENGLAND

In England we will be staying in our own private beautifully furnished country home near the town of Glastonbury. The home is spacious with lovely gardens, stunning countryside views and a very large hot tub! The home will be a wonderful place for us to meditate, hold ceremony, hang out, and cook delicious food.
Note: if you are planning this trip as a couple and would like to share a bed please let me know and be prepared to book quickly. This will effect the assortment of the other rooms.
The rates below are for the 4 1/2 day tour, transportation and lodging. They are shown per person and are exclusive of entrance fees, tips, and meals.

MAGDALEN, BLACK MADONNAS + FRANCE
July 26th - August 1st
For the South of France Tour we will be true pilgrims... moving from city to city, town to town, region to region. Accommodations will generally be three persons to a room with individual twin beds. We will rotate roommates so we can all get to know each other!

CHARTRES CATHEDRAL + PARIS
August 1st - 3rd
Our hotel is a short walk to the River Seine on the border of the 4th and 12th arrondissments. From here we can stroll through Paris’s most beautiful vistas, eat in cafes, and take in the city’s lively street life.
The rate below is for the 2 1/2 day tour, transportation and lodging. The rate is shown per person and is exclusive of train, taxi, entrance fees, tips, and meals.

What to Pack (and not to pack)
Southern France + England Tours
Luggage - We will be traveling in a 9-person large passenger van, (see photo below). The area for suitcases is not large. Bring your belongings in a carry on size suitcase. If you must bring additional luggage use a soft duffle bag approximately the same size as a carry-on bag. In addition, if you can pack exclusively in soft luggage it will be MUCH appreciated.
Walking/Hiking – Some of the sites we will be touring would be considered a hike. The trails are well groomed and steep inclines are made via stairs. I write of this to make it clear that you will need to be able to walk/hike comfortably for 45 minute stretches. On the England and South of France Tours we will be on some quasi-rugged terrain. Please bring comfortable shoes or boots that will give you traction.
Clothing – Pack layers! We will be starting out early and walking quite a bit during the day. Please pack a light weight rain repellent windbreaker with hood. We will be in the sun, so please pack sunscreen and a hat.
Bug Repellent - Some of our sites will be near water. Please bring the bug repellent of your choice. Note: I like bug "wipes", they don't take up much room and can be thrown easily in one's day pack.
Nap Sack or Back Pack - We will be on the land and hiking, carrying something over your shoulders frees up your hands and balances the weight.
Swimsuit - The house in England has a large hot tub and several of the inns in France have pools.
Sleeping Accessories - a polite way to say, some of us are more sensitive to light and sound than others... you might want to bring a sleep mask and ear plugs.
Paris/Chartres Cathedral Tour
Walking - Bring shoes that are comfortable and suitable for city walking. We will be in the sun, so please bring sunscreen and a hat.

9 person Passenger Van - I will be driving an air-conditioned van. Please see image of the type of the van. Actual model to be determined.

Train - Paris/Toulouse – a round trip train ticket between Paris Gare Montparnasse train station and Toulouse Gare Matabiau train station costs approximately $200-250- depending on class and time of day.

Paris Taxis - We will be mostly walking in Paris. There will be three taxi rides which we will split amongst us.
